Our Street Chrome Flip Top Linda Picken Buck Zippo Lighter, has a street chrome finish with a full colour illustration by Linda Picken of a Buck (Stag or Male Deer) at gaze in the field on the front, and comes in a Zippo gift box, complete with a lifttime guarantee.

It features a flip top lid, is windproof, and oozes both style and class.

HISTORY OF THE FLIP TOP LIGHTER

In the 1920s, lighters were still somewhat of a luxury for smokers. But when the 1930s came along, a man named George G. Blaisdell noticed an awkward Austrian lighter that had room for improvement and acted on it.

He improved the ergonomics of the lighter's case, so it wasn't as awkward to hold. Then he designed a perforated hood for the wick, which kept the lighter's flame windproof! Additionally, he modified the fuel chamber to be more efficient, and added a hinged flip-top lid. And voila! Zippo entered the world of lighters.

Since then almost 500,000,000 Zippo lighters have been sold. There are millions of Zippo fans around the world who are collecting, buying, selling, swapping and talking about the Zippo lighter every day online and offline.

Linda Picken lives in America's Ozarks where she revels in the country life surrounded by a menagerie of dogs, cats, horses, ducks, Canada Geese, and an assortment of other birds and wildlife. Her love of animals is evident in her paintings of dogs, horses, and wildlife, which reveal the joy, humor and majesty of the animal kingdom. 

Linda studied at the Des Moines Art Center, majored in art at Drake University, and then very ably developed her own style of wildlife and animal portraiture. She is an award-winning artist, named an Honorary Trustee of Ducks Unlimited and recipient of its first Silver Palette and Chisel award. Dozens of her paintings have been selected to help raise funds for conservation. Her art graces the covers of many magazines and catalogs. Her work has also been selected for high-quality collectors’ plate series, greeting cards and numerous other gift items, including the Christmas stockings, tapestry pillows and afghans.
